"That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." We've all heard those famous words before. Chances are you have recreated this very moment as a child, pretending to float through the far land known as the moon. But it was more than just a memorable moment of our history. This achievement has marked the beginning of a new era. It forced scientists and engineers to push further and develop technology that was thought of as an impossible feat. Without the perseverance of these men and women, life as we know it would be completely different. We wouldn't have the technology to accomplish tasks as small as calling someone on the other side of the Earth, or ones as substantial as exploring Mars. This was the stepping stone (no pun intended) for the trajectory of our evolution, and this photograph is here to remind us.
